Walk into any of the 12 midcentury modern suites at Random Haus in Palm Springs, and you’ll find custom reproductions of the architects of the Bauhaus movement, such as Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier.

“We also commissioned custom artwork depicting pure geometric shapes and photography. It creates a quiet, relaxing atmosphere,” says Eros DeCarlo, Random Haus’ property manager.

Le Corbusier furniture, introduced in 1928 at the Salon d’Automne in Paris, dominates the living areas in each suite.

The property is a perfect example of Bauhaus design. Bauhaus, meaning “School of Building,” and founded by German architect Walter Gropius, is influenced by a combination of craftsmanship, technology, and design aesthetics. The two-and three-bedroom suites enjoy clean, simple lines, and geometric architecture complemented by industrial ornamentation.

“Random Haus is a truly distinct destination for the modern traveler,” says DeCarlo.

Hire a private chef or cook for yourself. Each suite has a full-size kitchen which can be custom stocked for guests.

Each suite has an incredible kitchen with Frigidaire Pro Series stainless steel appliances, built-in wine coolers, and DeLonghi coffee makers. There is concierge service complete with grocery and liquor delivery. Private chefs can be arranged.

The spa-like bathrooms have rainfall showerheads, tile surrounds with glass inlays, and Speakman plumbing fixtures.

Ground units have large patios and second-floor units have private balconies with splendid views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

Luxury linens, black and white photography, and handcrafted pieces by Amish craftsmen from Ohio provide a restful milieu for sleep and dreams.

The gated grounds feature a large pool and spa, private cabanas, and a single-person sauna. There is a large outdoor activity area including an outdoor BBQ kitchen and social area near a fire pit for larger gatherings.

Random Haus is a pet-friendly property offering dog sitters, beds, bowls, daily gourmet treat, complimentary walking when guests are out and an on-property dog area.

A waterfall and koi pond surrounds the property. The koi pond meanders through the back of every lower level condo patio, and the fish provide incredible inspiration and relaxation.

Geometric shapes with splashes of color catch the eye in this tribute to Bauhaus Design.
