The dust has little time to settle on the Empire Polo Fields in Indio when the country-flavored Stagecoach Festival — following the popular Coachella Music and Arts Festival — kicks up its heels in spring 2011 (April, dates TBA). Last year’s Stagecoach featured chart-topping country star Keith Urban with fellow headliner Toby Keith. Other headliners from past events include the angelic Taylor Swift (above), self-admitted redneck girl Gretchen Wilson, and legend Willie Nelson.
The two-day festival welcomes all ages, with plenty of additional activities for kids and adults — from mechanical bulls, barbecue competitions, Western folk art, and the Half-Pint Hootenanny for the little ones. www.stagecoachfestival.com.
