With an emphasis on midcentury aesthetics and elegant informality, Modernism Week, Feb. 17-27, has become as much a Palm Springs tradition as a ride up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
The nine-day celebration explores 20th century design and architecture, peppered with lectures, films, vintage art and fashion, book signings, tours, expos, and more. The annual event traditionally kicks off with a two-day Modernism Show at the Palm Springs Convention Center, which is preceded the night before by a preview cocktail reception and auction.
