Forever Marilyn Installation Draws Crowds of Visitors and Locals Alike.

Celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s sex appeal and honor the starlet’s ties to Palm Springs (she was often seen sunning at the legendary Racquet Club) with a visit to Forever Marilyn. The 26-foot statue depicts the leggy blonde with her dress blown up a la The Seven Year Itch. Pieces of the towering beauty, created by artist Seward Johnson, arrived at the corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Tahquitz Canyon Way last May, after spending a year in Chicago. The privately funded installation will remain in Palm Springs through summer 2013.
