You might know him as Suzanne Somers' doctor.

Dr. Steve Nelson of Palm Desert is featured in the Coachella Valley actress' lifestyle and wellness book, Breakthrough, about anti-aging and health concepts for living natural and drug-free.

Nelson, founder of Synergy Wellness Clinic in Palm Desert, has been on the forefront of naturopathic and homeopathic solutions used to correct the root causes of pain and illness.

“People are realizing the common route of surgery and drugs is not the direction of medicine in the future," Nelson says, "We want to promote programs that prevent the use of medication to alleviate chronic symptoms in order to minimize the side effects."

This weekend, Dr. Nelson will demonstrate some technological advances in preventing and treating medical issues at Nature’s Path to Wellness Health Fair at Westfield Mall in Palm Desert.

The inaugural healthcare event will feature natural health and wellness products and services with professional presentations, live demonstrations, author signings, giveaways, and entertainment promoting informative family fun from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 21, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 22.

Cutting Edge Technology

Nelson is excited about the opportunity to bring more awareness and education and show that there are “complimentary therapies” or alternatives to overtly invasive procedures. He will divide his time between three exhibits, supervise treatments, answer questions and provide insight into products including what he describes as “natural skincare so good, it’s edible.”

The others include:

3D Analysis (and body wraps ) – 3D analysis uses a new FDA-registered device to provide similar CT and MRI findings in 10 minutes without radiation.

True Tesla  – muscle stimulation and nerve regeneration without needles or prep time.

“Meal Replacements” – Receive samples of true meal replacements with no soy, sugar, wheat or dairy developed by Dr. Linda T. Nelson (no-relation), CEO of Beneficial International/MLIS/Solutions.
