Description: Intense, meticulous and an insatiable desire to make the best wine possible defines proprietor / wine maker Stephen Andrews. With his wife Valerie by his side the team started Windy Ridge Cellars. Established in 2001 on 11 acres where Stephen & Valerie resided is now a well established winery with over 30 medal winning wines. Atop a hill, high above De Portola Rd, Oak Mountain Winery adds 8.5 acres of hand planted Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot, Cab Franc, Malbec, Mourvedre and Primativa grapes, the ancestral relative of Zinfandel that has its origins in Italy and Croatia.
