The Desert Cancer Foundation’s A Round For Life, a triad of three events, raised $422,225.00 on the 20th Anniversary of the events.

This year the event included, for the first time, a Pro Am with 31 valley pros participating in support of the important mission of Desert Cancer Foundation to provide life-saving medical assistance to Coachella Valley residents who can’t afford to pay for their cancer treatments.

In addition, there was a Ladies Invitational 9-hole golf tournament the day before the main event that benefitted the Suzanne Jackson Breast Cancer Fund.

As one of the most charitable clubs in the Valley, Indian Ridge Country Club has for twenty years donated both Arnold Palmer courses and the clubhouse for A Round for Life. Actively involved club members have underwritten the cost for two decades.

“It is tremendously rewarding for all of the people involved to make this event a significant financial resource; one that ultimately is instrumental in assisting valley residents in dire need of monetary assistance for cancer treatments,” said Lewis May, President of the Board of Directors of Desert Cancer Foundation.  “It’s a community coming together, from the residents at Indian Ridge and other volunteers outside of the club, to the entire medical community, our sponsors, donors, and media supporters.”

All funds raised support Desert Cancer Foundation’s mission of providing life-saving medical assistance to Coachella Valley residents who can’t afford to pay for their cancer treatments. The nonprofit strategically leverages value and collaborates with Desert Regional Medical Center and Eisenhower Medical Center.  Every dollar donated provides $7 in cancer related services.
