On The Air! An Evening of Live Radio Show Classics attracted a large crowd to the Camelot Theatre in Palm Springs for this one night only performance produced by Michael Shaw, directed by Gregg Oppenheim with original material by Eric Chiel.
The radio classics performed on stage were The Bickersons, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and My Favorite Husband with actors reading their scripts into microphones as they did when radio was “king”, before the advent of television.

The nostalgic classics were performed by seasoned actors Joyce Bulifant, Gavin MacLeod, Bets Malone, Larry Raben, Lynn Ferguson, Neil Dickson, Millicent Martin, Darren Richardson, Julian Holloway, Steven Brand, G.W. Bailey, Valorie Armstrong, and Darren Richardson.
Bob Hardt was host/announcer, Andrea McGuire was sound effects artist and Gloria Greer was the celebrity reporter. Dezart Trio Singers were Darci Daniels, Francesca Amari, and Charles Herrera while live music was performed by The Quarter Notes: Roger Perry and Jerry Randel at keyboard, Jay Lewis, drums, and Tibore Lesko, bass.
