The Shops on El Paseo Red Carpet Weekend - Jan. 3, 2014

The Shops on El Paseo Red Carpet Weekend

Gregg Felsen

It was the most glamorous weekend of the year in the desert. As they rolled miles of red carpet out in Palm Springs, the klieg lights shined and many throngs joined in to celebrate Hollywood style at the epicenter of luxury and fashion in Palm Desert. The Shops on El Paseo kicked off a fantastic array of events for their Red Carpet Weekend to tie in with the Palm Springs International Film Festival events. The Kick-Off for the Red Carpet weekend events honored critically acclaimed costume designer Daniel Orlandi who had an exhibition in Burberry over the entire weekend with costumes from Disney’s SAVING MR. BANKS.  An Emmy Award-winner, Mr. Orlandi’s designs have been featured in films such as The Da Vinci Code, The Blind Side, Frost/Nixon and HBO’s Game Change to name a few. Guests packed Burberry and were able to interact with Mr. Orlandi and thrill to reviewing original conceptual designs alongside actual finished costumes from the motion picture. 10% of the evenings sales benefited The Center. Sponsored by The Shops on El Paseo, Burberry and Desert Outlook.
