Vicky’s of Santa Fe celebrated 25 years on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.  There was a red carpet and stand & repeat backdrop for souvenir photos as diners arrived.  Dinner was served in the 3 main dining rooms only, with the original menu (5 entrees!) and (5 sides) at their original 1989 prices only.

As part of the 25 year celebration there was excellent live music – a special appearance by Lizann Warner as she rang and sang in the next 25.  Ms. Warner is a very versatile singer, songwriter and vocal “impressionist" - Jazz, Rock, Pop, R&B, Classical, and Country. It’s like having 35 different singers all in one night. Her vocal impressions include Judy Garland, Ann Wilson, Stevie Nicks, Barbara Streisand, Pat Benatar, Marilyn Monroe, Nora Jones, Cher, Lady Gaga, Cyndi Lauper, Celine Dion, Lita Ford, Cheryl Crow, and many, more. 35 and counting!   She was in the lounge until 9:30pm.

Twenty-five years ago, Vicky and Guy Laliberte cast appraising eyes on Indian Wells and liked what they saw.  Successful restaurateurs in Santa Fe, New Mexico, they envisioned recreating their Land of Enchantment experience in the Land of Eternal Sun and set about doing just that.  They named their expansive and airy dining house Vicky’s of Santa Fe and carefully crafted the ambience of its art filled courtyard, Saltillo tile floors, aged wood plank ceilings, American Native-themed copper lamps, and a grand piano lounge for live music.

Guy and Vicky Laliberte opened the doors to their brand new restaurant at 45100 Club Drive in Indian Wells on July 9th, 1989. The tradition of this family owned restaurant continues with Marc Laliberte at the helm.  At the start of this 25th Season, some upgrades to the classic adobe interiors of this nearly 9,000 square restaurant, bar and lounge were made. All new colors for the walls throughout, new carpeting’s and a built in dance floor with all new furnishings for the lounge.  In the main dining room, a beautiful wall of stacked stone offsets the row of new banquettes and booths.

Thanks to all the friends, family, and visitors alike for your patronage over the last 25 years and you’re continued friendship. To see all that’s happening with the food, wine, live music and events for the rest of the 2014 season visit www.vickysofsantafe.com
