Ruth's Chris Steak House
Chef Hector Ramirez and General Manager Tim Snyder invite you to enjoy Ruth’s Chris’s well-stocked bar, before dinner. |
It all started 45 years ago when Ruth Fertel mortgaged her home to buy a little neighborhood steak house in New Orleans called Chris Steak House. After investing her life savings, she proudly added her name to the original and it became a sizzling success. Ruth’s Chris Steak House now has more than 100 locations worldwide. The Palm Desert location is one of thirteen in California, with others in Anaheim, Beverly Hills, Del Mar, Irvine, Pasadena, Roseville, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Walnut Creek, and Woodland Hills. At Ruth’s Chris, you’ll always find exceptional steaks, selected from the top 2 percent of the country’s beef — broiled in 1800-degree ovens and served sizzling on 500-degree plates, so every bite is hot and delicious. But the food isn’t the only thing that makes a Ruth’s Chris dining experience so memorable. It’s because every Ruth’s Chris delivers that warm, genuine hospitality that their founder, Ruth Fertel, showed to every guest, every day in her restaurants. The superb wine list features more than 250 world-class international and domestic labels including many premium California and imported wines which are also available by the glass. The extensive à la carte menu features extra-thick-cut steak, live Maine lobster, fresh seafood, chicken, veal chops, and a wide variety of vegetables and potato selections — many of which are handmade daily from the original recipes Ruth designed herself. Whatever the occasion, Ruth’s Chris Steak House is the perfect spot to gather. It offers private dining space, from grand to intimate, custom menu options, and expert planning assistance in impeccable Ruth’s Chris style, but tailored to your tastes. Dinner is served nightly, reservations are suggested, and private luncheons or private dining arrangements may be arranged. To experience fine dining at its prime … Just follow the sizzle. |
SHOWN ABOVE: A stunning duo of specialties from the extensive menu at Ruth’s Chris — New York Strip Steak, this USDA Prime cut has a full-bodied texture that is slightly firmer than a ribeye, shown with fresh asparagus and a broiled tomato; Shrimp Rémoulade/Shrimp Cocktail, jumbo shrimp atop mixed baby greens with a touch of lemon vinaigrette with a choice of their classic Creole rémoulade sauce or spicy New Orleans home-style cocktail sauce. The suggested wine is Caymus, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2003.
