From Indian Canyon, Woody's Burgers looks like another quirky, unassuming 1950s diner.
But after ordering one of their gourmet burgers at the counter, you'll quickly realize this isn't just another diner. Your taste buds will rejoice and you'll understand why this place was voted Best Burger four times over by the readers of Palm Springs Life.
The flavorful 100 percent Angus beef patties are seasoned with five different spices and served seven different ways. Try the Blue Burger for a distinct taste — the blue cheese melting atop the searing hot meat is just mouthwatering. For a zesty experience, chomp on a Jalapeño Burger made with grilled jalapeño, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, and a toasted bun dressed with tomato and jalapeño serrano aioli.
Woody's menu also includes Philly cheesesteaks, hot dogs, chicken wings, incredible seasoned French fries, sweet potato fries, and homemade malts and shakes. Lunch starts every day at 11 a.m.
At night, Woody's turns into something more than a burger joint. Walk to the back into the blue dining room complete with a stage, professional sound system, and disco ball. Grab a table and enjoy the show. This former bus station is the place where top jazz and blues artists perform every night of the week. Order a burger with a beer or cocktail and see Deanna Bogart, Yve Evans, Rose Mallett, and Laurie Morvan Band up close. On special nights, you may even see these entertainers recording their next live album! There's no cover charge, but reservations are highly recommended.
