Horoscope for February: Waves of Transformation

While Aquarius is known as the “water bearer” (medieval wood carvings as far back as the 16th century characterize the sign as a person holding a water vessel), it might be more accurate if he or she were instead holding air tanks. Aquarius is an air sign, and its glyph represents electromagnetic wave energy. In these birthing years of the Aquarian Age (the next 2,000), we marvel at the Internet and dream of the sun being the source of all energy. This is the dawning...

Aquarius (Jan. 20–Feb. 18):
Networking situations feel like a maze. Confused, you may waste valuable time attempting to discern hidden agendas. You have what you need, but solutions are like hidden shoes in a messy closet. Strive for order in your mind/space. Spring clean your spirit. Emotional healing is available with educational resources.

Pisces (Feb. 19–March 20):
Pluto creates situations where a long-dead issue resurrects with a powerful force for regeneration. At the same time, it requires you to willingly accept a death — of a relationship, lifestyle, belief system, etc. — and embrace the emptiness. As soon as you have completely let go, the future unfolds. You are born again in a paradigm shift.

Aries (March 21–April 19):
An important alliance activates, and success is assured when checks and balances are to your satisfaction. You can create the initiating energy for a worthy concept, and those in control are watching. Mentors return to the scene. Buy them lunch and thank them; you will be amazed at the response. Improve administrative details for a positive boost.

Taurus (April 20-May 20):
A service is required to help you organize something personal. It’s not a splurge but a necessity. When the obstacle is cleared, you will turbo to the next level. Hit the sales for a freshened spring and summer image and put stuff out for charity. This month is like a pit stop for the rest of the busy year; order is your secret weapon. Exercise for serenity.

Gemini (May 21–June 20):
Sensitive information need not be a burden. You gain power when you keep it under wraps and will know later why it all matters. Meanwhile, lay it aside and focus on a creative project. Trust your hunches and validate your own truth. Get away to putter and dream. A long-held duty has run its course: Recognize that it is no longer relevant.

Cancer (June 21–July 22):
An ally who has had a couple of “hard-way” years is especially grateful for your level-headed support. Their recovery and success will contribute to your own as you are uplifted by the accomplishments of those close. Last year began a new association that shifts into higher gear just about now.

Leo (July 23–Aug. 22):
You will notice that change often brings improvement, so follow a couple of hunches and change your accountant, barber, stylist, gardner, or the people you work with. This will save you considerable money and frustration for many months to come. Remember, royalty: You are only as strong as your court.

Virgo (Aug. 23–Sept. 22):
Remember when you were a child and could daydream an entire scenario with you as the star? Adults call it visualization, and it’s a powerful tool in mapping your destiny. Strive for a new or renewed vision as you look to the future. Get away for a couple of short trips to do some serious nothing. Open your mind to receive.

Libra (Sept. 23–Oct. 22):
More emotionally reactive? It’s just a cycle and can be utilized with a work-oriented attitude and acceptance of additional responsibility. Work from home is more effective than usual; you can make big deals in sweats on your patio while appreciating domestic gifts like feeding the hummingbirds, pulling weeds, and contemplating the night sky.

Scorpio (Oct. 23–Nov. 21):
Siblings, neighbors, and community all have gifts for you now. Short road trips open up new worlds; be willing to go on a whim. A hostile marketplace needs time to simmer down. Stay out of the fray until you can see clearly. Though it may seem crowded, you have no competition, and when the dust settles this will become evident. Stick to your own agenda, smiling but firm. The time is yours.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21):
American theater and film producer Mike Todd once said, “I may be broke, but I am never poor!” They had come to repossess the furniture as he was hosting a huge party to raise money to finish one of his movies. At the last possible time, the investors came through. You are him now. Get your ideas out there; others will see their inherent value.

Capricorn (Dec. 22–Jan. 19):
A job that only you can do deserves commensurate compensation. Be willing to take drastic measures. As soon as you have let go of someone else’s poverty consciousness, you will be recognized for your true worth. Funds are loosening up, but tighten your discretionary spending until summer when you can comfortably make a significant purchase.
