Seven Homes to Discover

A self-guided tour of spectacular desert estates, unique designer homes, and historical valley residences marks the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert’s fundraising event of the year — and one of the area’s most anticipated annual home tours. This year, seven homes highlight the best the area has to offer through outdoor living rooms and cooking areas, fountain-enhanced entry courtyards, second-story balconies overlooking aqua pools, golf course and mountain views, and dramatic interiors with custom ceilings, stonework, wall treatments, and floors. Homeowners range from a doctor with a talent for photography (as evidenced by his in-house gallery and studio) to a duo who own one of the largest and most elaborate antiques and furnishings emporiums in Palm Springs. A family home with whimsical hand-painted walls in the children’s wing contrasts a golf course home with rich and rustic stone arches in the main living area. Together this collection of homes inspires, intrigues, and wows those who mark their calendars for this spectacular parade of homes. Proceeds from the event benefit the museum’s exhibits, programs, community outreach, and camp scholarships.
