July Horoscopes

Use Mercury’s Retrograde for Analysis

A retrograde Mercury from July 14 to Aug. 7 slows us down, providing an opportunity to reassess situations. If you were born retrograde (occurring about 60 days per year), this period will accelerate your progress. For the rest of us, it is a chance to slow down and consider alternate plans. The best projects clean up old business, advance a project to the next level, and clear out the superfluous. On Aug. 7, be ready to restart activity. Four planets in air promote communication. CANCER  (June 21-July 22)
Too much information overwhelms this month, as you are bombarded with everyone’s input. Continue to be an effective listener, withhold personal opinions, and mutter “how interesting” when you don’t want to show your hand. Hide out when your curmudgeonly nature takes over. Highly intuitive now, you do not suffer fools gladly; don’t let them know how you feel. Spiritual healing comes from dreamy moments. Meditate in the morning.

LEO  (July 23-Aug. 22)
Short jaunts (up to 120 miles) improve your Gemini timing, so fill the tank and head out. Through networking, you connect with enthusiastic others who share your passion for intellectual immersion in the latest passion. Neighbors, siblings, and friends have much to share; and social events add to an exciting mix of new possibilities. Your planet is high in the sky. Let the child in you play. Lighten up.

VIRGO  (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
There is so much emphasis on cash flow, but it is only an effect of changing values. What has been indispensable becomes obsolete, and you win when you recognize it early and change the game. Are you placing value on people or things that no longer serve a purpose? New concepts become reality when you realize their importance in future plans. Use resources. Calculate your worth.

LIBRA  (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This month is so full of air that you will be dizzy. Your element is social and restless. Bright Venus in the morning sky accelerates the attraction factor, prompting meetings, missives, and impromptu get-togethers. You are at the top of guest lists and should consider time management to avoid hurting feelings. Don’t tell them what they want to hear; be honest without being brutal. Keep appointments assiduously.

SCORPIO  (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Others take credit for a pet project; but don’t fret, because it is in your best interest to remain behind the scenes. The Scorpion chooses quiet power over noisy glory, as the effects are sure and lasting. The influence you will wield in this important matter is far more valuable than fleeting attention. Behind-the-scenes conferences promise results in the fall. Get away to rejuvenate.

SAGITTARIUS  (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
It’s another whirlwind month for the flying horse. Groups demand your participation. This is great if you do not immerse, but simply stop by and cheerlead, leaving early with well wishes. Your enlightened touch is enough to spur on many worthwhile projects. An emeritus level provides light guidance and positive reinforcement. Do no heavy lifting; you are beyond that. Contribute wisdom only.

CAPRICORN  (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Many friendly-seeming skirmishes on the professional level beg for your involvement, but it’s too early to take sides. Consider everyone’s point of view and insist that you need time to evaluate, acknowledge mental efforts, and withdraw to wait for more information. Later, your calm judgment will readjust the effort and point it toward a blaze of glory. Not much more patience is required.

AQUARIUS  (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You are challenged by your knowledge of the marketplace. Potential associates like your thorough coverage of the information, but may not commit to involvement for a few more weeks. Stay in touch with a light connection that promises much more in the future. You are being considered by those in power to assume the position of standard-bearer. You are ready. Leap empty-handed into the void. Have faith.

PISCES  (Feb. 19-March 20)
What you really want has yet to take the form of words. It lies in the ether of your subconscious and begs to be released as a vision. This is nothing new for you, the visionary; dreaming is your MO. Rather than solitude, this insight comes from vigorous interaction with others in social situations. You will see their visions too. Add to their confidence by sharing. You are an angel. Bless all.

ARIES  (March 21-April 19)
Are you aware how many people consider you an ally? In the many one-on-one encounters you have this month, you will be asked to form serious alliances that would benefit from your energy. Some are purposeful, with solid results, but others are unformed schemes that would depend on your input in an unbalanced equation. Separate the real from the well meaning, and get busy with effective leadership. Contribute.

TAURUS  (April 20-May 20)
If you are willing to accomplish some grindingly hard work, with many irritating details, you will suddenly find yourself on an entirely new level of accomplishment. Only you can effectively move the process along, as your organization and accounting skills are essential for forward motion. When you finish this gargantuan task, you will be on easy street because you will have done all the work. Dig in cheerfully.

GEMINI  (May 21-June 20)
Recent spiritual gains have given you stability and a sense of the future. Usually too intellectual for daydreaming, you realize the high activity of your subconscious and will benefit when you listen. Your image is changing as your goals formulate. Be about the progress that you see on the horizon. Help others with their dreams with no thought of compensation.
