A secret blooms in an El Paseo courtyard, and Dr. Orchid (a.k.a. Young Lai) wants to share it with you. Lai grew up in Taiwan, the orchid capital of the world, and has been immersed with the Oriental ornaments for as long as he can remember. He opened his shop in the Coachella Valley in 1994, offering rare, outstanding orchid specimens from his greenhouse. His passion blooms in many luxury residences, with clients ordering as many as 100 plants at a time.
