Snow in Palm Springs? Snow That Stayed??

From the Palm Springs Life Archives
Reprinted from the March 1979 issue of Palm Springs Life.
Yes, it really happened. The snowflakes started falling, and falling, and falling, and falling — and they stayed around long enough to make, among other things, Frosty the Snowman. The historic date: January 31, 1978. A total of one and a half inches fell in Palm Springs.
