Joshua McKinley — Project Runway
Designer Joshua McKinley
Adrianne Bonafede
The crowd in the big white tent at Fashion Week El Paseo™ went wild when gorgeous male models burst onto the runway wearing Joshua McKinley's colorful board shorts, hoodies, and shirts with wild prints. Even his tees were emblazoned with elegant athletic supporters.
The Project Runway season nine runner-up and Project Runway All-Stars season two final-four competitor exuded authenticity and personality. Pink and lime greens were hot colors on the guys, and they proved popular judging from the crowd’s loud cheers. Or maybe it was the buff model wearing it.
McKinley, who was educated at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and Italy’s Polimoda, experiments with classic cuts in innovative high-tech fabrics.
While he concentrates on his signature menswear collections, he is also building a baby line and a capsule collection of dresses and gowns.
