Viktor Luna — Project Runway

New York-based designer Viktor Luna introduced his Project Runway segment Wednesday night with an A-frame red-and-white dress with a full skirt that popped into view against the simple white background. And his use of feathers made his models appear to float down the runway at Fashion Week El Paseo™.

“Luna’s red and white collection was strong and elegant with a very modern appeal for the woman who can feel confident in these colors,” says Palm Springs Life Fashion Editor Susan Stein.

Luna, who was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and raised in Los Angeles, asserts a sophisticated, sensual aesthetic punctuated with an edgy, punk rock twist. Prior to Project Runway and launching his first collection, he studied at Fashion Institute of Technology and worked as a production assistant for Zero Maria Cornejo. He showed his spring 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week.
