Specialty Plastic Surgery® by Today’s Top Docs

Some of us want to turn back time. Others want to look and feel healthier. In our quest to be our best, nearly all of us have considered how differently we’d feel if only we could enhance our looks or fix a nagging problem.

But where to go to find a top doc in a top facility? A quick scan of the list of the “Top 100 Cosmetic Surgeons in the World” by the International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery yields one name (and only one name) very well known in the desert: David Morrow, M.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.A.C.S., founder and director of The Morrow Institute Medical Group, Inc., the nation’s first Specialty Plastic Surgery® team.

The book features contemporary articles gleaned from more than 500 journals worldwide to summarize the year’s most important breakthroughs in plastic and aesthetic surgery. This is Dr. Morrow’s third inclusion in the Year Book series.

Marc Mani, M.D., F.A.C.S., an exceptionally talented boardcertified plastic surgeon, was featured on the Discovery Health Channel’s Plastic Surgery Beverly Hills. Stem Cell Research Lab Seeks Organic Solutions

His considerable achievements notwithstanding, Dr. Morrow’s future contributions to the science of aesthetic plastic surgery may be on the near horizon. In 2008, he and Dr. Wu co-founded the desert’s only noncontroversial Stem Cell Research Lab at The Morrow Institute. The lab’s grant-supported work focuses on adipose (fat) derived stem cells. These miraculous cells have been shown to have the same healing and regenerative properties as embryonic and bone marrow stem cells, but don’t require the use of embryos or invasive surgery.

“Our work may allow individuals to store their own stem cells to aid healing or regenerate vital organs and tissue,” Dr. Morrow says. “In addition to enhancing appearance, the cells may someday cure diseases such as arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease. The potential for improving our patients’ lives makes our efforts enormously rewarding.”
