Vein, Vein Go Away — Beautiful Legs, Faces, Hands, Bodies and Skin Through Nonsurgical Treatments

Seen right: Kenneth Jesser, M.D.
In the case of treating painful or unsightly varicose or spider veins, cutting edge medical therapy means no cutting at all. The staff of About Face @ California Vein Specialists is dedicated to providing ethical, effective, and affordable nonsurgical treatments for patients with vein problems, wrinkles, aging sun-damaged skin, and unwanted body fat.
Kenneth Jesser, M.D., has practiced continuously in the desert since 1988. Originally a double board-certified internist and emergency physician, he remains an active member of the Eisenhower Medical Center medical staff. Having additionally trained in the specialty field of phlebology, the treatment of vein disease, he is nationally recognized for his expertise and quality of care for patients with both cosmetic and medical vein problems. He is a member of the American Board of Phlebology and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
“We are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, ethical, and cosmetically appealing solutions for the treatment of unsightly and painful varicose and spider veins of the legs, face, hands, and body,” says Dr. Jesser. “We value the trust that our patients give us, and we work very hard to maintain it. Many of our patients come to us after undergoing expensive treatments from other facilities that did not deliver promised results. Another aspect of our practice that sets us apart is that, while other clinics attempt to treat spider and varicose veins without addressing the underlying cause, we take a comprehensive approach. Using in-office Duplex ultrasound and multiple forms of light to ‘look under’ the skin, we find and treat the ‘feeder veins’ that are causing the problems. Many of our patients report an immediate improvement of the pain in their legs they have experienced for years. It’s very gratifying to see.”
Varicose veins are common, effecting 50 percent of women and 20 percent of men in the United States. Both spider veins, unsightly facial capillaries, and large varicose veins represent damaged veins with leaking internal valves. Left untreated, varicose and spider veins progressively worsen, compounding the problems and the necessary treatments and potentially leading to swelling, discoloration, cramping, pain, and ulcerations in the legs and feet. Fortunately, Dr. Jesser provides well-tolerated, safe, and effective treatments for these problems every day. Depending on individual patient needs, Dr. Jesser may perform endovenous laser ablation (closure of a large vein with a filament-like laser fiber), ultrasound-guided injection therapy, or simple sclerotherapy to remove a problem vein. All procedures are performed comfortably and safely without general anesthesia. Dr. Jesser is proud to be a Medicare provider, treating the medical manifestations of vein disease of the legs.
Due to his interest and expertise in nonsurgical aesthetics, Dr. Jesser continues to bring the latest innovative procedures to his desert patients. Cellulite is a condition that affects 80 percent of women in the United States.
“We were the first facility in Riverside County to be performing the VelaShape procedure, the medically effective, noninvasive treatment for the reduction of cellulite and nonsurgical body contouring. And now using the Smart Lipo™ laser-assisted liposuction system, we can, on both men and women, permanently reduce up to 3-5 inches of stubborn unwanted fat on the waist, hips, thighs, back, abdomen, or arms in only one treatment, using only local anesthesia, and simultaneously tightening the treated skin. We can also shrink double chins while tightening the skin on the neck. With this elegant, minimally invasive procedure, you are back at work in 24-48 hours without downtime. Body sculpting with Smart Lipo™ is now an easily performed in-office same-day procedure without risks of general anesthesia.”
Nonsurgical skin rejuvenation and wrinkle treatments are among the most requested procedures at About Face Medical Aesthetics at CVS. Personally trained and certified by the co-inventors of the procedures, Dr. Jesser performs the FDA-approved, nonsurgical el ¯o s procedures on men and women to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, painlessly tighten and smoothen skin on the face, neck, abdomen, and extremities; eliminate brown and red skin blemishes (including rosacea and facial veins); and restore youthful luster, shine, and tone to his patients’ skin. “All our laser and light procedures must be effective, comfortable, and result in no downtime for our patients,” says Dr. Jesser. “Our biggest referral sources are happy patients and other referring physicians; we are proud to be the desert’s premier el ¯o s center of excellence.”
Dr. Jesser has extensive training and expertise in performing cosmetic injections that restore youthful-appearing volume and contour to the face and hands, as well as correcting facial lines and wrinkles. Botox Cosmetic is very safe and effective for reducing frown lines, forehead creases, and crow’s feet by relaxing the overactive muscles that cause the lines. Cosmetic fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Sculptra are all potential answers to different problem areas. All cosmetic injections should be administered by experienced practitioners in order to achieve ideal results while avoiding complications. “I always want my patients to look better and rested, not overdone, after receiving injections of the face or lips,” says Dr. Jesser. “Every cosmetic problem has an aesthetically pleasing, nonsurgical solution that can be comfortably performed.”
