Property Description and History - Opened in 1926, La Quinta Resort & Club originated as the preferred retreat for the stars of "Hollywood's Golden Era." An international clientele of political dignitaries, business leaders and sports heroes often "escaped" to La Quinta for recreation and relaxation amid an atmosphere of exclusivity and privacy. The resort, with its original 20 casitas, was the site of the Coachella Valley's first golf course. In keeping with its rich tradition and commitment to excellence, La Quinta Resort & Club has grown carefully and thoughtfully while preserving its legendary charm and elegance.
Location/Transportation Facts - The resort is located 19 miles southeast of downtown Palm Springs. A short drive from the resort, Desert Resorts Regional Airport offers a full-service airport for guests traveling via prop or jet aircraft. Transportation from Desert Resorts Regional, Palm Springs International, and Ontario International airports may be arranged through the resort for a fee.
Accommodations - There are more than 800 luxurious guest rooms and suites housed in enchanting casitas, many with private courtyards, elegant seating areas and cathedral ceilings. Nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, our 45-acres of lush grass and brilliant flowers offer the utmost privacy. Open year-round.
Dining/Entertainment - La Quinta Resort & Club offers seven distinctive dining venues. Azur by Le Bernardin brings the freshest seafood and other fine dining specialties to the resort. Morgan's features a USDA prime steakhouse dinner menu and is also the perfect choice for breakfast and lunch. Adobe Grill offers sophisticated Mexican cuisine for lunch and dinner and frequent entertainment. The Spa Bistro and Clubhouses at the golf courses also offer a variety of choices for breakfast and lunch. Most restaurants offer outdoor seating on patios with spectacular mountain views. Located with the retail shops, The Coffee Market proudly serves Starbucks Coffee and breakfast pastries.
Services/Facilities/Shops - Amenities include full on-site Destination Management and Audio-Visual services, Business Center, twice-daily maid service, 24-hour room service, concierge, Camp La Quinta kids program. Pro shops at both golf and tennis clubs are available to guests. The resort Plaza features boutique shops, including Polo Ralph Lauren, The Greg Norman Collection, Tommy Bahama, Studios Art Gallery, Tumbleweeds for kids and more.
Recreation/Amusement Facilities - The world-class Spa La Quinta is a sanctuary for well-being and relaxation for both men and women. Featuring more than 30 treatment rooms, the spa offers signature Celestial Showers, many one-of-a-kind treatments and Yamaguchi full-service salon. 90 holes of championship golf designed by Nicklaus, Norman and Dye, at the resort and sister property PGA WEST. The Tennis Club has 23 courts of all three playing surfaces. Professional instruction and tournament coordination is offered for both golf and tennis. Fitness Center, Mind & Movement Studio, 42 pools, 52 hot spas, bike rentals, nearby hiking and mountain biking trails. The Resort is just minutes from El Paseo, the Rodeo Drive of the desert, and other major shopping areas.

Principal Meeting Facilities, Equipment and Services
General Comments - Over 66,000 square feet of elegant function and conference space (as well as many ideal outdoor locations) are available for meeting and banquet requirements. Our Conference Services staff and on-site DMC are available to develop an entire program specific to your needs to ensure that all meetings are efficiently, effectively, and creatively coordinated. Full on-site Audio-Visual department can accommodate any special needs. The Salon de Fiesta Ballroom features 17,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, while the Salon de Flores has 16,000 square-feet of function space. Both Salon ballrooms offer 18-foot ceilings. The Frank Capra Room is a 6,000-square-foot junior ballroom. There is also plenty of additional breakout space both indoors and outside. Several large luxury conference suites are ideal for small meetings, as well as several executive boardrooms.
