THE COVER: Bill Shaddix's canvases are rich with the majesty and grandeur of nature. Shaddix came to California from his native Oklahoma by odyssey through the Southwest and recently resigned a business career to devote his time totally to painting. In 1966 he organized the Idyllwild Art Festival. He has a winter studio in Palm Desert.
