You might be surprised to find out that Jaci Fitzsimonds, president of Cord Media — recently honored as one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation by Inc. magazine — grew up on a farm in a town of 1,000 people in North Dakota.
The full-service advertising agency, co-owned by her husband, Jonas, has grown from a staff of two in 2007 to more than 40 employees today.
“We have the best team around,” Fitzsimonds says. “We live by two major philosophies: First, make our clients successful. Second, make a conscious effort to instill in everyone that they do not work for us, but we work with them as a team.”
The mother of two relies on teamwork to be a parent and also to be involved in several local charities and organizations.
“Our generation is unstoppable," she says. "The 40 people on this [40 Under Forty] list are fearless, strong, dedicated, and focused on creating a better Coachella Valley.”
