ABOUT THE COVER: Depicting a facet of the diversity of architecture in private homes in the Coachella Valley, photo shows "floating" game room - a unit of the Joseph K. Dennis home in Thunderbird Heights. The circular, glass-walled structure, 24 feet in diameter, is an architectural duplicate of the large main house, 90 feet in diameter and encompassing 7,000 square feet of luxurious living area. Story, photos begin on page 106. Photography by Leland Lee.
