Artists One Eleven are pleased to announce that they are showcasing the work of Pat Kodet, Charlene Helfend Lane, Andrea Raft, Sylvia Torres, and Meg Walling in the exhibition ‘Wax, Pixels and Paint’ hosted by Coda Gallery at 73-151 El Paseo in Palm Desert from April 4 through April 7, 2013. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will benefit two local non-profit organizations – the Ophelia Project of Healthy Family Foundation promoting successful futures for adolescent girls in the Coachella Valley, and Desert Arc committed to creating opportunities for people with disabilities.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
ABOUT THE CHARITIES The Ophelia Project is facilitated by volunteer professional women and by local artist Gideon Cohen who employ art awareness as a method to expand learning skills. Desert Arc is one of the largest and oldest non-profit agencies in the Coachella Valley. Founded in 1959, Desert Arc serves over 600 adults with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, behavioral and other medical conditions. Desert Arc's mission is to "enhance the quality of life and create opportunities for people with disabilities".
