Mission Statement: Mirada was included in the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument when the monument was established in 2000. To ensure that the ecosystem of the surrounding monument continues to flourish, Mirada has established The Mirada Habitat Foundation to implement and oversee programs designed to protect the native species and preserve the natural habitat of this unique desert environment.
