Peter Bart, Editor of Variety, discusses Who Killed Hollywood? - Nov. 16, 2008
Peter Bart, Editor of Variety — often called the “show business Bible” – was the second speaker in the Palm Springs Art Museum’s Annenberg Theater Lecture Series on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 16. Bart has also produced films and served as vice-president in charge of production for Paramount Pictures — supervising such films as The Godfather, True Grit, and Paper Moon. He was well qualified for his subject, “Who Killed Hollywood?” The juicy and amusing question and answer session was conducted by Darryl Macdonald, executive director of the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
