Hailing from the rainy Pacific Northwest, Amber and Bryan love when the heat is on. And they couldn’t have been more pleased with their 88-degree October wedding day. Their midcentury-style affair took over the Alexander House of the 1947 Del Marcos Hotel designed by famed desert architect William F. Cody. Celebrity-themed table markers, casual poolside attire, and the dramatic mountain-view locale set the tone. “We wanted to keep it small, and we loved the architecture of the property,” Amber says. It was tough to leave Palm Springs (they’re thinking about buying a home here eventually), but they had another kind of desert calling: the couple honeymooned in Capetown, South Africa, incorporating two different safaris. Go wild!
