5 p.m.: The Native FilmFest (pictured right) continues with three films showing at Camelot Theatres, 2300 E. Baristo Road, in Palm Springs. A Festival Tent Meet and Greet will be held at 7 p.m. for a chance to meet film directors, actors and other guests.
6 p.m.: The Heather James Fine Art Gallery is hosting a benefit for the 2013 American Cancer Society's Desert Spirit XXIV Gala at the Palm Springs Air Museum. The honorees list includes Paul Mahoney, president/CE of PMA Advertising, and Chris Hermann, president/CEO of Hermann Design Group.
7 p.m.: Meet President John Adams as portrayed by George Baker at the Rancho Mirage Public Library.
7 p.m.: Hear music from a host of Andrew Lloyd Weber favorites, including "Phantom of the OPera", "Chicago", "Cats", "Les Mis", and "Music of the Night" from the piano keyboard of Linda Gentille at the Sierra Ballroom at Sun City Palm Desert.

8 p.m.: The Reality TV trio of Prince Poppycock (pictured left) from America's Got Talent and American Idol finalists Frenchie Davis and Jasmine Trias create a one-of-a-kind show at McCallum Theatre.

Friday, March 1
8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: The two-day It Happens to Boys Conference reaches out to therapists, social workers, nurses, counselors, survivors, partners of survivors to hear speakers tha address overcoming abusive pasts to lead productive lives. At the Doral Desert Princess Hotel in Palm Springs.
6 p.m.: The fifth annual Broken Glass Awards honors women who have paved the way for women in the working world. Mary Hart, Alfre Woodard and Lisa Houston will be honored at The Show at Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage.
6-7:30 p.m.: The seventh annual Palm Springs Boldstrokes Books LGBTQ Book Festival gives readers a chance to meet their favorite male and female authors at two programs slated for the Palm Springs Library. Friday night features the women; the men will be featured from 4-5:30 p.m. March 3 also at the library.
7 p.m.: A tribute concert to Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand as sung by Sebastian Anzaldo and Sharon Owens at the Indian Wells Theater at Cal State San Bernardino's Palm Desert Campus.
8 p.m.: The signature event at "Rules of Engagement" star Patrick Warburton's Celebrity Golf Tournament (pictured right) is the Friday night jam session featuring a multitude of rock stars. Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital.
8 p.m.: Michael Feinstein dedicates his concerts to Frank Sinatra with a special take on the legend's songs at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert.

Saturday, March 2
8 a.m.: The 18th annual Jim Cook Day of Hope for Diabetes features keynote speaker actor Ben Vereen, seminars and lectures to educate inspire and showcase new products at the Annenberg Center for Heath Sciences on the campus of Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage.
9 a.m.: If you have never been to a "Relay for Life" event sponsored by the American Cancer Society, you'll find some amazing people and stories about confronting cancer The 24-hour relay takes place at the Empire Polo Club, 81800 Ave. 51, in Indio.
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Ready to "Rock the House"? They will be at Palm Desert Charter Middle School as part of its performing arts fundraiser for 15 participating local schools. The day features 40 performing acts.
9 a.m.: The 14th annual Walk to End Alzheimer's raises awareness and funds for a difficult disease. the walk covers two miles, there is a health fair, entertainment, food and more at Palm Desert Civic Center Park.
6 p.m.: The King is in the house. Steve Connolly performs as Elvis Presley (pictured left) in "Spirit of the King" at the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs.
8 p.m.: Stevie Nicks is best known for her vocals with Fleetwood Mac, but the Tucson, Ariz. native has done just fine on her own as well. Starring at the Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino in Indio.
Dinner suggestion: Michael's Pizzeria at The River in Rancho Mirage. Fire-baked. Mouth-watering.
Sunday, March 3
Noon to 5 p.m.: Canadian artist Cliff Kearns shows his paintings and collages in "Images at Desert Art Collection & Sculpture Garden".
7 p.m.: "Elvis Lives!" showcases the finalists from Elvis Presley Enterprises' worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest and a tribute to Ann-Margret at The McCallum.
Brunch suggestion: The Grill on Main in La Quinta (pictured right) features a Bacon Vodka Bloody Mary to get you started.
Is There a Doctor in the House?
How about one also proficient in music. Doctors in the Desert, a benefit concert for the Steinway Society of Riverside County Scholarship fundraiser, features musically inclined doctors performing at 3 p.m. March 3 at the Helene Galen Auditorium at the Annenberg Center for Heath Sciences on the campus of Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage.
