When Stacie Scheufler first stumbled upon All Tressed Up, she never imagined going into a hair salon just for a blow dry.

It’s now part of her regular routine.

The Palm Desert woman found the blow dry only salon last year while shopping on El Paseo.

She recently stopped in for a hair and makeup trial for her upcoming wedding, a growing trend amongst brides to book their special day or bachelorette party with a blow dry only parlor.

Scheufler now frequents All Tressed up for every special occasion or event because of the convenience it brings.

“I’ve gone for a blow out for a shopping girls trip to L.A., for Coachella, and for my 30th birthday,” she says.

Blow dry salons have been popping up all over the country in the past few years. El Paseo is now home to both All Tressed Up and Just Blow Drys, which has a sister salon a few doors down called Wink Lash and Beauty Bar.

"A lot of our clientele are snowbirds, but despite the older demographic of the area we have seen women of all ages coming in for a little indulgence," says Shay Huff, who co-owns All Tressed Up along with her mother, Sherry Huff.

All Tressed Up’s décor includes white marble countertops and walls adorned with mirrors and pink accents, creating an ultra-glamorous environment. Shay says the inspiration behind the design was to “create a place for the modern girl to come in and relax, sip some champagne, watch a bit of a movie, get work caught up on our complimentary iPads, while being pampered.”

Clients can choose their preferred style from the menu: sleek and straight, wavy, curly, beachy or any other style of their choice. Now considered an affordable luxury, the blow dry is a quick, basic service which women love but may not necessarily have the skills or tools to do at home on their own.

Customers can add on deep conditioning treatments, mini scalp massages, updos, braids, or bring in their own extensions to have a stylist apply them. Both salons offer services for children and often hosts girl’s birthday parties.

All Tressed Up also has a beauty bar for makeup and eye lash applications, or eyebrow maintenance.
