From near and far, spa enthusiasts prepare for the Desert Hot Springs Spa Tour. For the uninitiated, this event offers an experiential evening visiting major mineral water facilities in what has become dubbed by travelers as “the healing mineral springs capital of California.” Built on a large underwater mineral springs aquifer, Desert Hot Springs offers more than 20 boutique resorts, most of which feature spas, pools, and Jacuzzis bubbling with therapeutic water from hot mineral springs percolating deep beneath the ground, then cooled to a comfortable temperature.

Produced by the Desert Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, Cabot’s Pueblo Museum, and the Hoteliers Association of Desert Hot Springs, the tour takes place Feb. 2 from 4 to 9 p.m., beginning with complimentary wine, beer, and a reception at Cabot’s Pueblo Museum built in the 1920s by desert pioneer Cabot Yerxa. Feast on appetizers provided courtesy of several Desert Hot Springs restaurants. Afterward, tour  select spas via a premium motor coach, or make your own way with a supplied map of participating resorts.

The evening offers spa giveaways, including the grand prize provided by Two Bunch Palms Resort & Spa: two nights in a beautiful suite, a pair of special spa treatments, and more.
A variety of spa services and overnight stays from participating spas and resorts are also up for grabs.

Featured resorts and spas on the tour include Areolas Spa & Resort, Aqua Soleil, Bella Monte Hot Springs Resort, Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel, DogSpa Resort & Wellness Center, El Morocco Inn & Spa, Hacienda Hot Springs Inn, Lido Palms Resort & Spa, Living Waters Spa, Miracle Springs Resort & Spa, Nurturing Nest Retreat And Spa, The Spring Resort & Spa, Swiss Health Resort, Tuscan Springs Hotel & Spa, Two Bunch Palms Resort & Spa.
