Desert X hosted board members and major donors at a preview party at the O’Donnell House No. 1 at Desert Palisades, an emerging architectural community in Palm Springs.
Attendees included Donna MacMillan, Helene Galen, and Joanne McGrath as well as both Paul Tollett and Skip Paige of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Jeremiah Joseph of Future Archive — the event’s lead sponsor — Ed Freeman of Desert Palisades and his wife, JenNee, along with nearly all the artists.
Curated by Artistic Director Neville Wakefield and founded by Susan Davis, the inaugural Desert X, a site specific contemporary art exhibition, spans 45 miles and 16 sites across the Coachella Valley. The exhibition, on view until April 30, includes works by artists such as Doug Aitken, Phillip K. Smith, Norma Jean, Lita Albuquerque, Sherin Guirguis, and Jennifer Bolande among others.
