Goldenvoice will co-produce Modernism Week 2014, an annual celebration of mid-century modern design, architecture, art, fashion and culture set for Feb. 13-23, in Palm Springs, according to an announcement from The Board of Directors of Modernism Week.

Goldenvoice will provide support through corporate sponsorships, national and international marketing campaigns, event logistics and special event production. As a result of this partnership, American Express has committed to sponsor this year’s event.

Modernism Week will continue to operate as a non-profit, tax-exempt, charitable organization, providing scholarships to students pursuing college educations in the fields of architecture and design. The group also awards grants to local and state preservation organizations for their efforts to preserve modernist architecture throughout the state of California.

Modernism Week’s one-of-a-kind February “festival” features more than 150 events during an 11-day period, including: tours of architecturally-significant homes and neighborhoods; a popular lecture and film series with world class speakers; Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tours; the Modernism Show and Sale; nightly parties with live music; walking and biking tours; a Prefab Showcase and Modern Living Expo; tours of the Annenberg Historic Estate at Sunnylands; a decorator showcase house produced with Christopher Kennedy; a vintage fashion show; displays of classic cars and vintage trailers; modern garden tours, and more.

During the February 2014 event, the collaborative partnership will launch a new series of nighttime events introduced as “Modernism Week After Dark” with an exclusive, retro-inspired “Modern Mambo” party set to kick-off the festivities Feb. 13.

Modernism Week and Goldenvoice have future plans to expand programs throughout the calendar year and to develop specialty VIP hotel, ticket and shuttle packages.

“Modernism Week enthusiastically seeks out any collaborative opportunities that serve and promote our mission,” says Modernism Week Board Chairman, J. Chris Mobley. “This partnership, similar to our sponsorship agreements and partnerships with the City of Palm Springs, Land Rover and the Palm Springs Historical Society, allows Modernism Week to build additional capacity and expand our educational outreach throughout the Coachella Valley.”
