The Palm Springs Art Museum has created a comic book superhero theme for its “Meet The Museum” 2016's The Art of Justice on April 8.
Among the entertainers for the evening is Kristine W, a Billboard chart topper and international recording artist. Kristine recently had spoke to the Palm Springs Art Museum about her appearance.
Why do you love performing in Palm Springs?
KW: Palm Springs has always been a magical place to me. So many legends have lived here! I’ve had really fun shows here, and I have amazing memories jumping my horse Riley in the Indio horse show!
Are you excited to perform at “Meet The Museum” benefiting the Palm Springs Art Museum?
KW: The “Meet The Museum” party sounds fabulous! What better way to kick off the Iconic White Party weekend then to get your Super Hero Vibe on! Plus, I’ve never performed in an actual Art Museum before! (Bucket List! ) LOL.
What will be unique and special about your performance at “Meet The Museum”?
KW: We will get to do more cover songs like we do when we do Vegas shows — which is always fun. Plus, I get to do a tribute to my No. 1 favorite singer of all time, my personal musical hero, Donna Summer!
What have you been up to lately? Tells us about the new music you are working on!
KW: I have been working non-stop on my new album for two years! We shot the music video for the first single, and have the first 10 remixed tracks ready to go! It’s exhausting but very exciting!! Getting close to release time …possibly even that weekend that I will be in Palm Springs ..woo hoo!
Who is your favorite superhero?
KW: My 2 favorite TV super heroes are Wonder Woman, because Linda Carter looked like my Mom with blue eyes and super dark hair and had perfect boobs. Thor is so super hot wow…. you could never kick him out of bed for eating crackers! I do think my Mommy will always be my No. 1 real live superhero. She not only still defies gravity, she raised four good kids as a single mother. She can do anything but fly!
