Distinctive Interiors by Thomas

Outrageous, yet elegant designs of Thomas Getz

Distinctive Interiors by Thomas, the new studio now located  on the El Paseo (between San Pablo and Lupine), reflects the outrageous yet elegant style of Thomas Getz. Along with offering superb interior design services, Thomas’ new studio features a unique and eclectic selection of fine furniture and outlandish accessories.

Although Thomas Getz is new to the Coachella Valley, he brings more than 30 years of design experience to the desert. Thomas has designed and furnished over 500 homes and estates in Washington DC, New York City, Palm Beach, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, San Marino, Newport Beach, and other areas in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Thomas’ experience allows him to offer his clients access to not only 800 of the finest manufacturers of furniture, fabric, lighting and accessories, but also to an experienced stable of trades’ people (including the best wallpaper hangers, furniture upholsters, drapery fabricators, faux artists, painters, and more)

Over the years, Thomas has developed a simple design philosophy: “A client’s home should be a reflection of their taste, while comfortably fitting their lifestyle.” Yet his approach to delivering interior design services belies this simplicity, as his meticulous attention to detail assures that every step of the design process is seamless for each client.

Thomas strives to take the “mystery” out of interior design and he offers the following five straightforward questions and answers for anyone considering utilizing his talents:

What is full service interior design?
It is complete design with your style in mind. Complete design can include (but is not limited to): floor to ceiling selection ofcolors, textures, finishes, paints, wall coverings, window treatments, floorings, lighting, furniture, fabrics, accessories, and art.

What do we mean by complete design?
We will purchase, inspect, store and install every item that we propose and you select. Once you have signed our design proposal the next thing you will see is your dream interior completed on time and on budget, and we guarantee it.

How do I get started?
Contact Thomas and arrange for either an in-studio appointment or a visit to your home for a no cost/no obligation consultation.

Then what is the next step?
Thomas will develop an interior design presentation based on his consultation with you, which he will deliver at your convenience.

And then what?
Thomas will take your input during the presentation and develop your interior design proposal, which again he will review with you. Now, armed with a detailed proposal (including a draft of our design contract), you determine the next step. Our experience tells us that you will opt to have Thomas complete your interior design dream.

Thomas invites you to drop by the studio to browse and to discuss your interior design dreams with him. Trust your home to Thomas, and you will soon be living in and enjoying your dream.
We look forward to seeing you in our Studio soon.
