Intelligencer - Ins & Outs

Art, movement, and progress often go hand in hand. Several galleries made changes this year.

After 15 years at the same location, S.R. Brennen Gallery moved to 73-375 El Paseo, Suite M, in Palm Desert. And Coda Gallery expanded its location on El Paseo.

Jay and MiShell Nailor relocated M Modern Gallery to 2500 N. Palm Canyon Drive in the 111 Plaza shopping center.

Michael Hinkle closed The Figurative Gallery in La Quinta and became director of Arte Gallery on El Paseo.

College of the Desert hired Lisa Soccio as director for the Walter N. Marks Center for the Arts.

In August, Palm Springs Art Museum Executive Director Janice Lyle announced her resignation effective April 1, 2007. Lyle has been with the museum for 22 years and served as director for 13 years.
