The Eleonore Austerer Gallery opened its desert location to complement the well-established San Francisco gallery, which Eleonore Austerer owned from 1988 to 2003. Originally from Vienna, she has 35 years of experience in the fine arts and is an accredited member of the American Society of Appraisers.
The gallery specializes in original works by the giants of modernism, including paintings, drawings and watercolors by Braque, Chagall, Leger, Matisse, Miró, Picasso, Rouault, Tamayo and Henry Moore. These works come mostly from the same private estate collection that gave the gallery its highly successful “Paris at Mid-Century” exhibition last season. Also on display are rare, hand-signed, limited edition graphics by these same artists, as well as Calder, Klee, Kandinsky, and others.
The gallery’s contemporary exhibition space showcases a large selection of high-quality art in a wide range of styles and media from well established mid-career painters and sculptors from Europe, Latin America and the U.S. Among them are Ed Baynard, Roberto Azank, Roberto Lauro, Daniel Phill,
Brian Russell, Eric C. Johnson and Delos Van Earl.
