Interior Design
Kristine Schultz has been designing interiors for the past 25 years, is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers, and is a certified designer in the State of California. When Kristine opened her own firm it gave her an opportunity to select the projects that most interest her. For Kristine, the responsibility of the designer is to create an interior that is aesthetically pleasing, yet fulfills its function without flaw.
To translate her clients’ visions into reality, she calls upon her experience of custom design in both furniture and cabinetry, as well as an extensive background in color, to create an interior rich in color and texture that is inviting, comfortable, and always reflective of her clients’ tastes and desires. Simplicity in design, architectural details, and a warm minimalism have evolved over time and are signature elements of her work.
The media room pictured is a perfect example of her ability to combine function and form to create a room rich in texture and details that capture the spirit of Old World Tuscany and early California. The entertainment cabinet was custom designed to include a television, a complete sound system, and a large movie screen to create a wonderful space for entertaining friends and family. The upholstered walls add to the acoustical balance of the space, while becoming a warm background for furnishings that skillfully blend comfort and style. The beautiful coffered ceilings designed by Kristine and the hardwood floors complete the blending of modern technology and Old World charm to create an environment for her client that will be a room for all to enjoy.
