Golf Courses of the Coachella Valley

Coachella Valley offers as wide a selection of spectacular places to play golf as probably any resort area in the world – more than 120 golf courses grace the desert terrain. And many linksters come back year after year to enjoy the desert’s natural beauty and the long, undulating, lush green vistas and mountain views. Updating our Golf Guide, with new courses opening each year in this growing valley, is never ending. We rely on readers, players, pros, and staff to keep us current.

Our comprehensive guide lists Coachella Valley courses alphabetically (by either club or course name) in three geographic sections: West Valley (Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, and outlying areas); Central Valley  (Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, Palm Desert, Sun City, and Thousand Palms); and East Valley (La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Indio, and beyond, including courses in the Borrego Springs area).

Please note the following as you check the listings: Slope ratings for 18-hole regulation courses are for course yardages between 6,100 and 6,400 for men (M), and from the front tees for women (W). For courses shorter than 6,000 yards, the slope is from the back tees for men, and front tees for women. Because courses have from two to seven sets of tees, yardages shown are from the front tees to the back tees. In the case of nine-hole courses, the yardages are for nine holes, and the slopes are based on playing it twice.

Advance tee times are for outside play or reciprocal players. Resort guests generally can book further in advance. Rates and fees are listed for the high and low seasons (winter and summer). All rates are subject to change. Courses require players to abide by their dress codes.

Directions to all courses begin in Palm Springs.
