A Searchable Golf Directory

To make the guide of most use there should be some material on the home page to explain what everything means.  If you are ready to search - Enjoy and Welcome! - Enter the Golf Database.

If you need more information - the following would help.

COURSE TYPE:

Regulation:  Courses of 5,000 yards or more in length for18 holes, and 9 hole courses of  2,500 yards or more.

Executive:   Courses of  3,000-4,999 yards. Rated by the US Golf Association.

Par 3:           All holes are par 3’s.  Can be rated if longer than 3,000 yards

NOTE:  Courses of less than 3,000 yards are not rated

PLAY STATUS:

Public:            Some limitations on tee times or access at semi-private and resort courses.

Private:           Restricted to members and their guests.  No public access

PLAYING CHARACTERISTICS:

DLL-Dogleg left.  Enough of a turn to require ball placement.

               DLR-Dogleg right.   Same

W- Number of holes with water in play

SB-Number of bunkers on the course.

COURSE DATA:

Yardages and slopes are from the shortest rated tees to the longest, for both men and women.. The number of tees indicate how many are rated.   All data is for 18 holes, and for 9 hole courses it is based on playing it twice.

GREENS FEES:

Since fees vary widely, we show approximate fees.  We indicate the highest fee, usually a weekend or holiday cost. All courses have lower fees such as weekday, twilight, and some have same day replays.  Discounted promotional rates are not uncommon.

Other explanatory info:

OUT OF AREA COURSES:

These are a selected number of excellent courses out of the immediate Palm Springs area.  All are well worth the drive from Palm Springs, or a stop when driving to or from Los Angeles. They are moderately priced.  Longest drive is approximately 1 1/2 hours, except during the rush hours.

Membership Fees/Annual Dues:     Initiation Fees are usually charged by Private clubs and are a one time cost.  Annual dues are the cost of maintaining the memberships.  Some public and semiprivate courses have only an annual cost for playing and no cost to join.

Telephone Numbers:  Numbers are for the pro shops for the public access courses, and the club offices for the Private clubs.
