Property Description and History - Opened in 1926, La Quinta Resort & Club originated as the preferred retreat for the stars of "Hollywood's Golden Era." The resort, with its original 20 casitas, was the site of the Coachella Valley's first golf course. Location/Transportation Facts - The resort is located 19 miles southeast of downtown Palm Springs. A short drive from the resort, Desert Resorts Regional Airport offers a full-service airport for guests traveling via prop or jet aircraft. Transportation from Desert Resorts Regional, Palm Springs International, and Ontario International airports may be arranged through the resort for a fee.
