Parenting your newborn just got a little easier.
“Baby’s Night Out” offers new moms and dads a chance to get out of the house, bring their baby in tow and still enjoy a first-run movie at the theater.
No longer is crying, feeding and diaper change an issue.
The UltraStar Cinemas Mary Pickford in Cathedral City offers “Baby’s Night Out” every Thursday. This week’s feature, Star Trek Into the Darkness” will screen at 7 p.m. June 6.
Some of the features include dimmed lights so parents can see and care for their infants. The volume is reduced to avoid loud, and changing facilities in the auditorium make sure Mom and Dad don’t miss a scene.
In addition, there will be valet stroller parking and early bird pricing.
“New parents often miss out on seeing the latest Hollywood movies because they don’t want to bring the baby out of courtesy to other guests,” said Julie Bravo, UltraStar Cinemas vice president of advertising and marketing in a released statement.
“We created this program to cater specifically to new moms and dads, providing a comforting environment where crying, feeding and diaper changing is not only allowed, it is expected,” Bravo said.
And if nighttime doesn’t work, Mary Pickford also has “Parent Movie Morning” at 10 a.m. every Wednesday with all of the same features as “Baby’s Night Out”. This week’s feature is also “Star Trek Into the Darkness” at 10 a.m. June 5.
