summer spa specials

Summertime is prime time for specials at many of Greater Palm Springs’ glamorous spas, including discounts on specific treatments, and staycations for the ultimate escape.

At the Saguaro Palm Springs, the Summer Splash package offers two nights at the best available rate, with the third night free, plus $50 toward any spa treatment. One that’s especially tempting is the Sun Dance Citrus Sugar Scrub, a full body exfoliation that serves up perfectly polished limbs ready for a night out.

The Spring Resort and Day Spa’s Bliss package is designed for the ideal “alone time” excursion. Arrive at 2:30 p.m., check in and slip into one of the mineral pools, then indulge in a Spring Turkish Buff at 4, followed by a reflexology treatment. Treat yourself to an early dinner, then enjoy the wine and fresh fruit delivered to your room at 7. Next morning, join the other guests for continental breakfast, after which the schedule calls for a rejuvenating Spring Zen Breeze facial and an hour-long aromatherapy massage. Checkout time is 1 p.m. — time to return home and zone out before the week gets into high gear.

Manicures are a specialty at Studio M Salon and Spa in Palm Springs.

For day spa delights, choose a summer special at the Studio M Salon and Spa, including discounts on the Yuzo Rose and Bubbles Luxury Pedicure — sip champagne while your tootsies are soaked, scrubbed, moisturized and massaged, then polished to perfection. Massages, hydrating/exfoliating body treatments, anti-aging facials and conditioning hair treatments are also on special, and when you choose three or more services, the spa will provide a custom package price.

The Spa at Marriott Desert Springs is featuring Sunday through Friday summer specials, which include the Cool Summer Package, two and a half hours of pampering, with an organic coconut sugar scrub, Summer Neroli Blossom Massage, the Summer Soothing Facial and a yummy Spa Bistro lunch. While you’re there, take advantage of discounts on Kerstin Florian Spa and Eminence products Clairisonic and units.

Big news at Two Bunch Palms: The resort/spa is embarking on an ambitious upgrade and renovation, closing on Aug. 18 and reopening Oct. 5 with a new look, more soaking tubs and new treatments. In the meantime, take advantage of the MidWeek Summer Special for Caregivers, available Monday-Friday to first responders and members of the military, healthcare and public schools, with special prices on a menu of 12 different services.
