Tortoise Rock Casino Opens Doors in Twentynine Palms

With 30,000 square feet of space and more than 2,000 parking spots, the Tortoise Rock Casino is ready to let the dice roll.

Owned and operated by the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians, the casino sits near Joshua Tree National Park and the U.S. Marine Corps Aur Ground Combat Center. Design highlights include drought-tolerant landscaping and water-reclamation features.

The casino includes Shelly's Lounge, open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily with entertainment Friday and Saturday nights.

Inside is the Oasis Grille serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert offerings 7 a.m. to 2 am. Monday through Thursday, and all days Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

For gamers, there are 490 Las Vegas-style slot machines, 5 table games and two poker tables featuring Blackjack, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and Texas Hold'Em.
