Takes place at what even the co-owner says looks like it belongs on the planet Tatooine, Bonita Domes has partnered with the Josha Tree Chamber of Commerce to put on a fundraising party May 30 that can only happen in Joshua Tree. Take a tour of this out-of-this-world place.

Baseball returns to Palm Springs Stadium
The Palm Springs Power open the season May 30 coming off a franchise record 46-win season last year and and a second straight So Cal World Series title. Local players dot the roster, including Bermuda Dunes pitcher Doug Finley.

EXPERIENTIAL ART

Follow artist on 2,600-mile hike in Wild Times
An interactive journey through the artwork of Susan Robb (at left) takes you on her 2,600-mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. Follow Robb as she makes her way from Mexico to Canada by viewing art she has created during her trek via social media, videos, and digital artworks. On display through June 22 at the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert.

The Whitney Houston Tribute Show
The music from the late singing sensation will be celebrated during an evening of musical memories May 31 at the Agua Caliente Resort Casino in Rancho Mirage. Belinda Davids delivers that familiar powerful voice.

Restaurant Week starts May 30
Featuring more than 100 restaurants across the Coachella Valley, diners are in for a treat during Restaurant Week, which starts May 30 and runs through June 8. Restaurants will offer discounted meals, including newcomers like Alicante in downtown Palm Springs.

True West takes stage at Palm Canyon Theatre
Tristan Rogers is well known for his roles on General Hospital and now The Young and the Restless, but the actor has never taken to live theatre until now. He will be joined May 30 by soap star Sean Kanan and Django Unchained actor David Steen in bringing Sam Shepherd's play to life. Find out if he is nervous.
