CLUB SKIRTS DINAH SHORE
Biggest Lesbian Party in the World
Expect to see a lot of women in the downtown Palm Springs area this weekend. Club Skirts Dinah Shore is headquartered at the Palm Springs Hilton, but attendance has spilled over into three neighboring hotels as well. Tegan and Sara headline the entertainment, but the weekend also features a Comedy Night, a film festival, celebrity poker and more. Read our preview story.

Who Will Take a Plunge into Poppy's Pond?

Inbee Park attempts to defend her title of a year ago and first leap into Poppy's Pond. This first major LPGA tournament, running April 3-6, always attracts a good field and at a great facility – Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage. Parlm Springs Women's Jazz Festival

This Grammy-award winning singer will put on a show as his April  5 performance at Fantasy Springs Redsort Casino in Indio benefits he and his wife Marisol's own non-profit organzation, Sidewalk Angels Foundation, whic supports a myriad of causes ranging from no-kill animal shelters to childhood health.

THEATRE
A Chorus Line

Broadway star Eric Kunze joins the student cast from Musical Theatre University at Rancho Mirage High School to perform in this classic musical, April 4-6. Kunze made his Broadway mark in Miss Saigon, Les Miserables and Damn Yankees.

Marvin's Room
Kirk Geiger (pictured at right), who originated the role of "Ty" in both the stage and film versions of the Palm Springs favorite, Sordid Lives, stars in this play at the Indio Performing Arts Center. The comedy is about a women who is dying of leukemia and is forced to re-connect with her estranged family.

PRE-COACHELLA WINE PRIMER
"Wines That Rock"

April is music month in the Coachella Valley, and Miramonte Resort has decided to get things started with "Wines That Rock" featuring seven wines and seven dishes served from 7-9 p.m. April 4 in Indian Wells. The wine lables are from the Rolling Stnes, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, The Police, Train and Dave Matthews Band.

MAKE ME LAUGH
Judy Gold

Gold is best known for a pair of Off Broadway hit shows, the last one ("My Life as a Sitcom") ran from June 2011 to January 2012 and garnered rave reviews. She won two Emmys for writing and producing The Rosie O'Donnell Show, and is currently the host of NickMom TV's new comedy show, NickMom Night Out. See her April 4-6 at the Copa Palm Springs.

Rancho Mirage Cultural Festival
The city of Rancho Mirage presents a four-day cultural festival, April 10-13, starting with the Palmm Springs Women in Film and Television panel discussion featuring Shari Belafonte on April 10, the Los Palmeros Mariachis & Ballet Folklorico on April 11, free self-guided tours of Rancho Mirage artists on April 12, and a historic cultural tribute and patriotic slaute on April 13.
