The Hanson House Foundation was proud to host the 20th Annual Celebration of Festival in the Canyons, Saturday, May 16, 2015 outdoors and under the stars at the all new Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage. This 20th annual charity benefit included a hosted wine and martini reception followed by a three course sit down dinner with sample wine parings, Music and dancing.

Returning to provide the musical entertainment for the evening was the iconic Blood, Sweat and Tears featuring American Idol superstar Bo Bice. Blood, Sweat and Tears appeared at the very first Festival in the Canyons in 1996. Hence, it seemed only fitting to bring back this well-oiled, still (after four decades) world touring machine in their 21st Century edition for this 20th annual event.

Many guests began the day of festivities Saturday morning May 16, 2015 with the "Hanson House Charity Classic," a Golf Tournament and Awards Luncheon on the Mission Hills, Pete Dye Resort Course teeing off at 7:30 am.

All proceeds from the Festival will benefit the Hanson House Foundation, the Coachella Valley's first and still only hospital hospitality house. The Mission Statement of the Hanson House is very simple. "To provide a community supported facility with low or no cost services whose dedicated staff and volunteers are committed to making available a safe, clean and caring temporary 'Home Away From Home' for the families of the critically ill and injured."

Hanson House has sixteen guest rooms accommodating up to sixty-four guests per night. Since opening in December of 2003, more than 8,500 families have been served with nearly 20,000 guest nights. Hanson House has a volunteer staff operating 365 days per year.
