The first Latino and youngest (at age 26) member elected to the Coachella Valley Water District board of directors, Estrada has led efforts to extend water lines into the East Valley’s unincorporated communities, where he grew up. “I think about water pretty much 24/7,” he says. “It’s time for us to make sure [those communities] have what a lot of us take for granted.”
