A transplant from Northern California, Garcia studied structural engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before switching to biomedical engineering. He was drawn to dentistry, especially its surgical side, because of the human component. “Being able to help people is an important part of what I do. Seeing things through and achieving a positive result is very gratifying.” The pace of life in the desert appeals to Garcia; and having seized the opportunity to buy into Desert Oral Surgery five years ago, he looks forward to growing the practice and in time, mentoring future surgeons.
